Minister
We are uniquely blessed
to have Jeff Trotter as our minister. Jeff grew up in Rock Hill where his
family was, and continues to be, active in the Charlotte Avenue Church of
Christ. During his undergraduate studies at Freed-Hardeman University,
Jeff met and married his life partner, Mary Alice.
Jeff earned his masters
in Religion from Lipscomb University in Nashville and then moved to
Bristol, VA where he began his work as the minister for the East Bristol
Church of Christ. After 11 years in Tennessee, Jeff and Mary Alice came
home to support the fledgling congregation at Gold Hill Road.
Jeff has all the traits
needed in a strong minister: doctrinal soundness, excellent teaching and
preaching abilities, a propensity for benevolent service and a genuine
concern for lost souls. Particularly important for our growing
congregation is his ability to effectively deal with a large variety of
people.
When hes not
teaching, preaching or sharing his time with our many members, their
families, and area visitors, youll find Jeff enjoying a round of
golf, catching up on the latest sports news or traveling with Mary Alice.

Associate Minister

(Steve)
Due to the growth of the
Gold Hill Road family, an associate minister was needed to fulfill the
needs of the congregation as well as to support Jeff in ministering to
the church family and community.
Steve and his family
moved to Gold Hill Road in August, 2008. A native of Ohio, Steve
has preached and served congregations in churches of Christ for over 17
years in Ohio, West Virginia, Indiana, and Kentucky. He earned a Bachelors
Degree in Business Management and Ethics at Asbury College in Wilmore,
KY.
Family support is key to
living and serving Christ; his wife, Deanna and two children, Chelsea and
Isaiah provide support and motivation to Steve in his work.
Steve enjoys books,
reading, research and writing, playing and listening to Bluegrass music,
collecting vintage country music memorabilia, photography, spoiling his
lab / beagle mix, Emmylou, and maintaining his blog: The Truth Between
Extremes
