We are thankful to have Hugh Fulford and Greg Tidwell with us this weekend to speak in our Identity Matters seminar.
As we live in and function in this world, identity is important. God has prescribed it that way: by making us unique individuals, as well as having a unique, body of believers, the church.
The church we read of in the Bible has certain identifying characteristics. God’s Word sets forth its origin, name, rule of faith, work, worship, organization, and terms of membership. We have been reminded of these essentials this weekend in this series of lessons. May we always seek to uphold the truth on all matters.
“For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit.”
