God wants His Word read.  “Seek and read from the book of the Lord” (Isaiah 34:16).  As we read, we must exhibit certain qualities in order to rightly divide and interpret the words of God.  May we keep in mind the following:

  1. Must be a person of prayer

(James 1:5; 3:15).

  1. Must be persistent

(Prov. 12:27; John 5:39).

  1. Must be willing to accept revealed truth

(Luke 8:18; Ps. 49:4).

  1. Must rid himself of all preconceived ideas about the subject or text

(Mark 12:10; 15:28; Matt. 22:29;

Luke 24:27, 32, 45).

  1. Must be a person of courage

(Prov. 22:22; Ps. 119:104).

  1. Must be able to use reasoning skill (Acts 17:2; 18:4; 28:19; 24:25).
  2. Must believe in the verbal, plenary inspiration of the Bible

( Tim. 2:16, 17).

No More Haiti Collections/ Nancy Pharr

The time has come to end this chapter in my life. At least the part of distributing the clothes/shoes collected from here. Please still keep Haiti in your prayers. When I go in March, it will mark my 20th trip. Things have only gotten worse over time. Not to the fault of the people but the government. Please also keep me in your prayers as I find my new area of work there. THANK YOU  to every one who has contributed over the years and to the ones who have helped me pack. Haiti has truly been blessed by your generosity. And I have been blessed by getting to distribute the goods to these wonderful people. Thank you again, Nancy
