Under Renovation

Renovations are going on upstairs in our facility.  Renovations are needed to repair, refresh, and revitalize the looks and functionality of an area. Part of the process of renovation is demolishing the old part so a brand new structure can be in place. The Fixer Upper series shows the popularity of renovations to houses and properties.

What about a spiritual renovation? Every child of God must continually undergo a cleansing of heart and mind. “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me” (Psalm 51:10). To the Ephesians, the Apostle Paul admonished: “To put off your old self which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness” (Ephesians 4:22-24).

God has given us the necessary tool to do the complete job of renovation in ourselves. “For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12).

A continual renovation is involved in the life of the child of God who desires to be transformed (Romans 12:1-2) into what God desires and conforms to the image of His Son, Jesus Christ; “being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator” (Colossians 3:10).
