Opportunities in 2019
Opportunities to grow spiritually abound in 2019 at Gold Hill Road. The Elders have sanctioned many events and seminars to aid us in our walk with God. We can only fault ourselves if we do not participate or take advantage of the many ways in which we can grow closer to God, one another, and increase our service and dedication to Jesus Christ.
And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy; giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light (Colossians 1:9-12).
January 26-27
Digital Parenting with Chad Landman. Anyone who uses the internet will benefit from this seminar.
January 27
Digital Evangelism with Robert Hatfield speaking at 4 pm and also at our evening service.
March 9
Men’s Day with David Shannon and other speakers. This work of the Charlotte Avenue congregation is hosted here at GHR. It is a wonderful time of fellowship for brothers in Christ.
April 18-21
Lads to Leaders Convention in Nashville.
May 4-5
Identity Matters with Greg Tidwell and Hugh Fulford. Our identity as God’s people is outlined in the Bible very clearly. We need to be reminded of who we are and what we are all about.
July 21-24
“Morality in an Age of Corruption” seminar with David Powell teaching.
August 30-September 1
“Legacy: Living Beyond Ourselves” – Family Event on Labor Day Weekend with Lonnie Jones and Ben Hayes
Other events surrounding our youth, our seniors, and everyone in between; service projects, Bible studies, benevolence opportunities, mission works, and day to day service in the name of Christ can be expected throughout our membership in 2019.
Let’s commit ourselves and our families to be active and involved in the many good works we have before us. May we serve and live each day with a peaceful and loving disposition.
