Principles of the Ten Commandments

Stronger Than Ever

This class will be taking its talking points from a book by Jason Jackson, the son of the esteemed author Wayne Jackson, entitled, “Stronger Than Ever – Heavenly Advise For Earthly Life”. Jason is an accomplished author in his own right. He is the associate editor of the Christian Courier, and a gospel preacher. You can’t write a book about overcoming adversity in life, through the power of Christ, without having experienced some yourself. Jason’s story of triumph is a powerful one. We will explore his, and many other true stories, of victory over challenging and difficult situations in the lives of many faithful Christians, while we glean from the scriptures the power that exists when we trust in God’s word, and act upon our faith.

2nd Quarter Classes 2016

James: Faith + Action

We are studying the epistle of James which shows “what Christian Living is all about.” We are studying the book of James in order to increase our faith and become more like Christ. We are covering many relevant topics such as: “How to handle life’s problems” “How to handle the issue of prejudice” “Religion that makes a difference” “Faith that saves” “Taming the tongue” “The issue of materialism today” “Guidelines for prayer” and several other important issues that face Christians today.

Difficult Questions and Applications
Throughout time, Christians have always faced difficult questions. How do we respond to various situations, social norms, and other distractions that tug at our Christian spirit. Today’s society is no different, and is certainly full of difficult questions and Christians must answer on a daily basis. In this class, we will try to tackle as many of these questions as possible, and provide practical and Biblical Christian answers.
Samson: A Life Well Wasted

Time and time again, Sampson made the wrong decisions. He was set apart from the womb to restore Israel to holiness, but ultimately, his unfaithfulness to his calling led to his destruction and death. Samson was defiled by his sin, exemplifying a life of wasted resources. He failed to save the day. Yet despite Samson’s best efforts to mess up his life, God still used him – and He’ll still use us.

The Seed Principle

This quarter on Wednesday evenings we are studying The Seed Principle based upon the parable of Jesus on the sower sowing the seed. “Successful living, like successful gardening, is about good choices. It’s about sowing the right seeds in the right soil. The Seed Principle will identify the obstacles you face when trying to influence other people. You’ll discover how to make desirable changes in your own life by cultivating positive behavior and eliminating the negative. And you’ll learn what you need in order to deepen your spirituality, strengthen your relationships, or sharpen your team.”
